About ACIBS

The “Association of Construction Industry Buyers and Suppliers “, ACIBS, is a new association created to further promote closer working relationships within the construction supply chain between procurement professionals and suppliers, sub contractors and service providers.

This will build on the historical work and relationships forged by members of the supply chain under other forums.

Delivery of the aims of the association will be achieved through the following methods:

1.Targeted business meetings throughout the calendar year on topical issues relevant to the market place.

2. Social events, e.g. Golf Day, Annual Dinner, Dinner Dance.

3. Online Articles and News via the ACIBS website

4. Periodic Network meetings.

Why is ACIBS different?

ACIBS is more inclusive than some other forums and is NOT generalistic; it is dedicated to the construction arena. Unlike other organisations, particularly purchasing dominated ones, the association has actively been set up to include a broader supply chain membership. In addition to purchasing professionals, membership is open to the supply chain, namely suppliers, sub contractors and service suppliers.

Membership status (MACIBS) both individual and corporate will be afforded to those joining the association, with the relevant level of experience. Intermediate status (IACIBS) will be afforded to those younger persons wishing to join who are working towards such experience levels. Membership will be determined by the ACIBS management committee, which is comprised of experienced practitioners from both the procurement and supply chain side of the industry. Membership will be based on a one of fee off £30.00 when joining and an annual subscription of £10.00. (The Articles of Association showing the Bona-fide nature of the association can be viewed in this website.)

Joining instructions/details can be found in the relevant section of this website.

Membership remains open and the association is actively inviting participants to join this new venture whose primary aim is detailed in the foregoing.
